Mosaic Mixed Media Horse on Heart Wall Hanging or Shelf Sitter, Horse Lover's Gift, Equine Art. What a great piece for the horse lover! Which I am. I made the horse from densite plaster and painted with metallic wax paste. It's set inside a heart that is lined with multiple colored rhinestone flowers. I painted inside the heart with metallic dark teal paint then used clear tempered glass pieces to mosaic. (The white spots are light reflections from the overhead light box.) The grout is painted gold. Beautiful plaster scrolls embrace the heart from the bottom and are edged with gold metal flowers with rhinestone flowers. A teal paper rose is placed at the top. The background and sides are finished with modeling paste and sealed. The piece is built on a wood canvas. A hanger is attached.
